PC TuneX App - How we handle your data and protect your privacy.

1. Overview

PC TuneX App is a Windows desktop utility published by Hasnain Butt Akhtar. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App accesses, how it uses that information, and what data (if any) leaves your device.

PC TuneX does not collect or transmit any personal data to the developer or any third party.

We are committed to your privacy: PC TuneX does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personally identifiable information.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

PC TuneX does not collect, upload, or transmit:

Personal Info

Your name, email address, or any personal identifiers

Network Data

Your location, IP address, or network topology

Browser Data

Browsing history or browser data beyond locally cached files you explicitly choose to clear

Credentials

Passwords, credentials, or cryptographic keys stored in Windows Credential Manager

Wi-Fi Passwords

Wi-Fi passwords revealed by the diagnostic tool are displayed only on-screen

Telemetry

Crash dumps, usage analytics, or diagnostic reports are never sent to any remote server

3. Data Stored Locally

The App may write the following files to your device, solely to support its own operation.

Schedule Settings

AppData\Roaming\PCtuneX\ - A JSON schedule settings file (schedule.json). Contains only scheduler configuration.

Temporary Logs

AppData - Temporary log output during toolkit runs. Logs are kept in memory unless you export them manually to PDF.

Registry Access

Registry - The App reads and may modify startup keys (HKCU/HKLM Run) when you manage startup programs. No data leaves your device.

PC TuneX requests administrator privileges only when required for system operations.

5. Windows Permissions Disclosure

PC TuneX declares the following MSIX capabilities:

runFullTrust

Required for Win32/WPF operation and elevation.

internetClient

Used for network speed tests only.

privateNetworkClientServer

Required for LAN diagnostics.

removableStorage

Allows scanning removable drives for disk health.

6. Third-Party Services

PC TuneX does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The App uses open-source libraries (MahApps.Metro, Material Design Themes, FontAwesome.Sharp, HandyControl, QuestPDF), all of which operate entirely on-device and do not transmit data.

7. Children's Privacy

PC TuneX is intended for IT professionals and advanced Windows users. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the effective date and version number. Continued use of PC TuneX after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
